Can osteopathy help children and babies too?
Babies respond very well to osteopathic treatment which helps resolve the effects of birth. Although in the majority this occurs naturally, some babies are more squashed in certain positions in pregnancy or are subject to stronger forces during labour including the use of forceps and ventouse deliveries. We think that this may result in a particularly fractious baby.
Most midwives, breast feeding councillors and health visitors recommend cranial osteopathy for newborn babies.
We also see children of all ages in the clinic for many injuries such as falls, sporting injuries, pain from poor posture as children sit longer at desks and discomfort during or after growth spurts.
